We’re never resting on our trotters. Ahead of our July 2019 launch, we’ve given the grown-ups area in the Pigzbe App a makeover. (Download the Pigzbe App free on the Google Play and Apple App Store.)

If you’re new to the Pigzbe universe, the App is divided in two: one half is for parents, the other is for kids. In the parents’ area, you can set tasks for your child to complete, set up recurring allowances, and send gifts and rewards. The parents’ area also lets you see your child’s general progress, including how they’re doing with their savings goals.

Why now?

This new update is an important stepping stone for Pigzbe users. Using feedback from over 2,000 beta users, we’ve made changes to help users transition more easily to a shiny new version coming this summer.

What’s changing?

The wonderful product team have freshened up the look and feel of the parents’ area, making it simpler and quicker to navigate. New font, new colour palette, new Pigzbe. We hope you like it.

You told us that you wanted your children to really focus on the one big thing they want to save for. So we’ve removed multiple goals, so they can reach a single savings target more quickly, before moving onto the next one.

Plus, we found that bi-weekly allowances weren’t a big hit, so we’ve simplified these to be weekly or monthly.

Last but not least, we’ve enjoyed adding more delightful details to the user interface. One of our mantras is “Make big things that work, small things that delight”, so we hope you enjoy discovering the details of this small stepping stone.

Our. Work. Is. Never. Over.

With the help of our growing product team, we’ll be building and testing new features on a weekly basis, all the way up to our launch, and beyond. Finessing functionality and features to make pocket money superpowers simple and easy for you guys — parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents — wherever, whenever. Want to join us as a tester? Watch this space for some changes to the Kids’ area too 🙂

What do you think? As always, we’d love to hear from you! Pig in lipstick jokes and related puns welcome.
